“The Coddling of the American Mind” is an in-depth article on the college excesses of zero tolerance, trigger warnings, microaggressions, and the threat of reprisals from the U.S. Dept. of Education.  “In the name of emotional well-being, college students are increasingly demanding protection from words and ideas they don’t like. Here’s why that’s disastrous for education—and mental health.  The new climate is slowly being institutionalized, and is affecting what can be said in the classroom, even as a basis for discussion or debate.”  Students can consider and contrast the freedom of the Gospel to examine all claims and ideas and Christian liberty as service to neighbor rather than mollifying neighbor.
